Hi Emmi, I have uploaded a new picture and the true colour is right at the base, near the foot.
It has been suggested that it might be Steven & Williams, but I haven't seen this shape or this colour maybe someone else has?
Emmi Smith30/06/05 Me again, the colour ,if Sanctuary Blue, does not show in the photo as a true S.B. as you have already mentioned... but I find that the blues and greens don't always find the right level on the photos. I have a green vase which allways comes out blue in a picture however hard I try to do it. Any photographic tips would be appreciated in this respect!!!!!
Emmi Smith30/06/05 Well it's certainly in "the style of" my previous comment but is much smaller than I've seen before. The shape is fairly typical of 30's glass made by several glassworks. Sorry I can't be of much help, let's hope someone who is more familiar with this period will comment.
Barbara Bowen26/06/05 Hi, Its 6" tall and 3" wide across the top.The colour has come out lighter on the photo than it really is,it is much bluer if that makes sense!A real intense colour.
Emmi Smith26/06/05 What's the height oif this vase? The clear foot fools me a bit but it's very like a pattern from the Wuidart range c 1930 - 35. More comments please!
